Betsey died of cancer June 15, 2020. One year later, family and friends came together to celebrate her life. Donations in Betsey's memory will fund a scholarship at 沙巴体育官网. Her husband, Stan Heuisler reflects: "In 1969, while she was still a graduate student at 沙巴体育官网, Betsey Heuisler’s serigraph “Soaring Red” was selected to hang in the Baltimore Museum of Art’s prestigious Biennale. Later she taught painting and drawing at 沙巴体育官网, and created and taught the school’s summer program in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her son and daughter-in-law both graduated from 沙巴体育官网 and her daughter-in-law works in the school’s admissions department. The school was a lodestone for Betsey in selling paintings coast to coast and teaching art to students from high school to graduate medical schools."
