Due to high costs, new licenses on Kanopy are only purchased when requested by a faculty member for class use. Here's what you need to know:
- Access: Anyone with a 沙巴体育官网 username and password can view films we already have licenses to stream on Kanopy.
- Faculty Requests: Only 沙巴体育官网 faculty can request the purchase of films we don't already have licenses for. Requests must be made directly through Kanopy.
- Fulfillment Time: We fulfill requests as soon as possible, but Kanopy may take some time to process purchases.
- License Duration: Licenses are typically for one year. If you keep a film on your syllabi, double-check that we still have access to it with a couple of weeks' lead time.

Enoch Pratt Free Library's (EPFL) Kanopy subscription provides additional options:
- Access: Available to those with a regular Library Card or an eCard. Register for their eCard online.
- Additional Resources: An eCard provides access to other digital resources, including eBooks and databases.
- Different Licenses: EPFL's subscription might have licenses to different films, so check both EPFL and 沙巴体育官网's subscriptions when searching for a film on Kanopy.
Accessing Kanopy Off-Campus
Access 沙巴体育官网's Kanopy subscription at https://mica.kanopy.com/. If you are off-campus, you will be asked to log in with your 沙巴体育官网 username and password.

- Creating a Kanopy Account: A Kanopy login is optional but useful for creating lists. To create an account, hit the Login button in the upper right bar.
Requesting a Film via Kanopy
- Access to a Film: If we have access to a film, it will show with a Play button.
- Requesting Access: If we do not have access to a film, a page will appear with a form to request the film.
